Bio

Amy Braverman is a statistician at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, an Adjunct Associate Professor at UCLA in the Department of Statistics and the Director of the Center for Applied Statistics. She conducts research in statistical methods, primarily for the analysis of massive satellite remote sensing data in the context of climate change research. Her interests are in the following problem areas: information-theoretic data reduction, statistical data fusion, cluster analysis, and statistical methods for the validation and diagnosis of climate models. Her specialties include massive data set analysis, climate data, and remote sensing data.
